Woods also sang roles with the Washington Concert Opera and the Washington National Opera. He also performed on Broadway and on tour in Hal Prince's award-winning revival of "Showboat".

Woods is on the faculty of Spring Arbor University and is a graduate student instructor at the University of Michigan, where he is pursuing a doctorate in musical arts.
